Today is the first day I have not been thrown up on by one of my children. That is not a pleasant experience...for me or the kiddos. I felt so bad for my babies because they were absolutely miserable. I am also surprised that I handled being thrown up on so well. Perhaps it is because I really didn't have much of a choice. I would clean the child up, clean myself up and clean the surface up...thank goodness for leather couches! I guess part of being a mom is dealing with your children throwing up on you when they are sick.
Unfortunately, Sam still is having digestion issues, so the runny diapers are still running rampant. That has not been fun either...there have been a few nasty blow outs. I will be thrilled when that stops.
Thankfully through all of this I have somehow managed to stay healthy and not get the flu. From what I have been told, I probably was already exposed to this strand of flu when I was younger, and therefore I am safe at this point in time. For whatever reason, I am grateful. I can't even imagine how horrible this weekend would have been if I had been sick on top of my husband and two boys.
