After Effect of Surgery (Possibly TMI)

For the most part my body has recuperated well from my appendix surgery in August.  Generally I forget I even had the surgery.  Every once in awhile the scar will get hit just right, and I will feel the sensitivity.  However, one part of my normal body functioning seems to have been altered, and I wonder if it will be a permenant change.  Instead of getting the feeling that I need to use the restroom, my lower abdomen area will just feel a stabbing pain, and that pain lets me know my body is ready to relieve itself.  Thankfully this doesn't happen when I have to pee or I would be quite miserable.  I just assumed this feeling would pass with time, but it has been over six months, and the pressure and pain continues.  My husband read somewhere online that probiotic yogurt is supposed to help with that...according to other people who have the same problem after surgery.  I have considered picking some up at the grocery store, but I have been averted by the idea of it all.  I am thinking I will give it a try though.  Hopefully the yogurt tastes good...that is one of my concerns.  Also I feel old having to take a probiotic yogurt when my body functions just fine, but the pressure/pain is a bother.  Oh well!
