Sharp Teeth

Once again last night I was reminded that Sam has sharp teeth.  I was holding him wrapped in his towel after his bath, and he snuggled his head into my shoulder, and the next thing I knew, he had bit me!  Ouch!  Those are sharp little teeth!  The dentist described baby teeth as razors because they are so sharp.

I had been wondering for the past couple days if Sam was teething again because he was starting to exhibit signs...being a little extra clingy, crying out in his sleep, and then last night Sam bit me, and it was all confirmed...although technically his crying out during his nap earlier had already confirmed my belief in Sam's teething.

Thankfully Sam only bites when he is teething...at least at this point in life.  Just to give an idea of Sam's sharp teeth, Sam bit me last night around 7:30 p.m.  Today at almost 2 p.m. the spot I was bit is still sore if you gently push on it.  I am grateful that so far my husband and myself are the only ones who have been bit by Sam...except in the instance where James chooses to stick his finger in Sam's mouth (that is asking to be bit).  I will feel bad if Sam's teething affects other innocent children or family members by getting bit as it is not a pleasant experience; however, based off how Sam usually does, I don't think that will be an issue...I sure hope not anyway.
